Lísandra Týra Jóns (b. 2000, Iceland) lives and works between Berlin and Reykjavík. Her practice moves across dance and performance art, video art and photography.
Lísandra deals with a certain fascination of the flesh, both of the human and non-human and explores the resonance of duration and the body at its limits.
In 2023, she graduated from the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance. Lísandra has since worked with artists such as Danh Võ and Heinz Peter Knes, while primarily developing her own works alongside creating and performing with her dance collective DISTANT CASUALS.
